Here is a very attractive antique store display for Putnam Dyes - Monroe Drug; in the left corner you can see the name Charles Shonk Litho.. The graphics on the front are on tin - very pretty with some wear in places.
The body of the case is wood painted in an attractive shade of green - if you look closely you can see the dovetail construction in the photos. On the panel that opens up it still has the green tin backing - you'll notice some of the thin edging/frame that holds it in place is missing. The tin finish has wears/scratches - could be repainted or covered to improve appearance. When you flip up the panel you can see there are graphics there as well - noticeable staining in places and is lifting up in the hinge area (see close-ups in last photo).
Inside of lid is not tin - graphics are on paper adhered to the inside of lid. Inside the box you can see a few remaining stickers around the edges - wood looks solid, has some stains which could be improved with a little work. Be sure to check out enlarged photos for best detail - see photos with ruler for dimensions. This item is in the category "Collectibles\Advertising\Merchandise & Memorabilia\Store Displays".
