Offering for sale an antique Belding Brothers & Company silk thread and/or ribbon general store counter cabinet. Beginning their company in 1866, the Belding Brothers found success.

They expanded and moved in 1980 to Belding, Michigan where they established four mills. Mill 1 was for silk threads, Mills 2 and 3 were for fabrics, and Mill 4 for the manufacture of sewing. And embroidery silks of every description as well as a variety of crochet cotton. In order to market their manufactured product, Belding Brothers & Co. Established salesrooms at Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, St. Paul, Baltimore, San Francisco, New Orleans. From these salesrooms traveling salesmen visited every city, town, and hamlet in the United States. This cabinet likely stood on the counter of a general store and held the silk threads.

If it is, the cabinet may have held silk ribbons and ladies may have used the mirror to pair ribbons with their hats. The cabinet measures 22.75 inches tall, 19.75 inches wide, and 13.75 inches deep. It is in very nice, sturdy condition.
